The Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act

The Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act states that federal departments or agencies must first check with this act before doing any modification to channels or bodies of water. It also states that land and water can be acquired by federal construction agencies to study wildlife development. The Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act was put into place because felt that it was important to recognize the contributions that wildlife resources give to the nation ("Fish" 2008).
